XRP fell about 8.5% over 24 hours to roughly $1.46 on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, even as U.S. spot XRP ETFs stayed in net inflow the prior session — a split that shows regulated fund demand and open-market trading do not always move together, The Crypto Times reported with CoinGecko and SoSoValue data.
At about 10:11 UTC, CoinGecko showed XRP at $1.46 after an intraday high near $1.60, with market capitalization near $91.9 billion and 24-hour volume about $4.58 billion. Versus Bitcoin, XRP was down about 5.6% over the same window.
ETFs still took in money
SoSoValue’s U.S. crypto spot ETF dashboard recorded a total net inflow of about $18.04 million into spot XRP ETFs on Wednesday, Sept. 23 (ET). Bitwise’s XRP ETF led with roughly $11.54 million (cumulative net inflow near $649 million); Franklin’s XRPZ added about $6.50 million (cumulative near $492 million). Combined net assets stood near $1.65 billion, or about 1.8% of XRP’s market cap, with cumulative net inflows since launch near $1.75 billion.
That followed Tuesday’s stronger print of about $20.02 million. Between those two reports, total net assets fell even as new money arrived — consistent with a lower token price marking down existing holdings.
Why inflows did not stop the drop
Wednesday’s ~$18 million ETF inflow is only about 0.4% of XRP’s multi-billion-dollar spot volume, so fund buying can be absorbed by larger exchange selling. CoinGecko’s market note pointed to profit-taking after the failed hold near $1.60; Santiment data cited in the report put the 365-day MVRV ratio near −11.75%, meaning the average on-chain holder over the past year was underwater — a backdrop that can add sell pressure on rallies.
XRPL lending amendments XLS-65 and XLS-66 remain in validator voting with no mainnet date, and Evernorth’s Nasdaq path under ticker XRPN was noted as background — neither was linked to Thursday’s price move in the available data. Not investment advice.
