The XRP Ledger’s Batch upgrade now targets Oct. 9, 2026 — not the prior Sept. 29 window — after validators briefly dropped below the amendment threshold so BatchV1_1 could restart its two-week clock alongside a new companion fix, fixBatchV1_2, shipped in emergency xrpld 3.4.1.

The official XRPL.org release (publication dated Sept. 25) asks node operators to upgrade promptly: fixBatchV1_2 already held a validator supermajority and is expected to enable on 2026-10-09 if support holds. Servers not on 3.4.1 risk becoming amendment-blocked once the fix activates. The notice states the newly disclosed Batch issue did not affect Mainnet and caused no loss of funds; source for the security-sensitive patch is being held for a later retrospective.

Why the clock reset

ProCoinNews and validator commentary (including contributor Vet) describe a coordinated Yes→Nay flip just large enough to clear the >80% majority line, restarting BatchV1_1’s countdown so the feature and its fix land together. CoinDesk-cited tallies had BatchV1_1 back at about 30 of 35 trusted validators on Sept. 25, projecting earliest activation near 14:46 UTC Oct. 9.

Batch lets applications submit up to eight transactions together, including atomic all-or-nothing modes useful for two-legged settlement. This is protocol infrastructure — not an automatic XRP demand catalyst. Live XRP marks Sunday morning (~9:11 a.m. MT) were near $1.52. Not investment advice.
