BatchV1_1 on the XRP Ledger is on a conditional path to activate at 14:06:41 UTC on Sept. 29, 2026 if validator support stays above 80%, according to CryptoSlate reporting dated Sept. 23.
The earlier Batch amendment never reached mainnet. Auditors flagged a critical authorization flaw before production; RippleX and validators halted that version. The repaired BatchV1_1 closes the signer/auth gap and is designed to let a single outer transaction bundle multi-transaction batches with four execution modes.
Support for the repair shipped in xrpld 3.3.0 (Aug. 6). Once the amendment activates, servers that do not understand the new rules can become amendment-blocked until they upgrade.
Client and explorer risk
CryptoSlate’s readiness warning is operational, not speculative: outdated nodes and clients may fail after activation, and an outer Batch marked successful can still conceal failed inner transactions. Wallets and explorers that only surface the outer result can mis-report settlement.
Sept. 29 is therefore a live test of whether XRPL’s validator process, reference software, and surrounding apps converted a pre-mainnet near-miss into usable atomic infrastructure. This is not a change to XRP supply and not investment advice.
