CSD BR, a Brazilian financial-market operator responsible for more than 22 trillion reais of registered assets (roughly $4 trillion), has begun mirroring ownership records for selected BTG Pactual investment funds onto the public XRP Ledger, according to CoinDesk (Shaurya Malwa, Sept. 30, 2026), citing a release shared with the outlet. CSD BR’s existing database remains the official record for registration, custody, and settlement — the XRPL copy is a second, real-time verification layer for approved institutions, not a transfer of those assets onto the chain.

Fund shares deposited with CSD BR are also represented as tokens using XRPL’s Multi-Purpose Token standard, so the issuer can restrict who holds and transfers them and freeze or reverse when a regulator or court requires it. Anyone can read movements on the public ledger; only approved participants can own the tokens. Live fund records are already in the mirror — a step beyond closed-network pilots that used only test assets.

Mirror first, then issue and trade

Once CSD BR is comfortable with the mirroring system, Ripple and CSD BR plan to explore issuing and trading assets directly on XRPL — future candidates include Brazilian real-estate and agribusiness receivables. CSD BR is authorized by Brazil’s central bank and securities regulator. Live marks Wednesday morning (~9:10 a.m. MT via Robinhood) put XRP near $1.50, BTC near $83.9K, ETH near $2,679, SOL near $119. Fund-record mirroring is institutional infrastructure — not a price catalyst by itself. Not investment advice.
