The XRP Ledger published xrpld 3.4.1 as an emergency security release ahead of the expected Oct. 9 Batch upgrade, Coinpaper reported Monday (Sept. 28, 2026), amplifying the official XRPL.org release notes. Developers said the update fixes “security-sensitive issues” in the protocol and urged server operators to upgrade as soon as possible. The release introduces amendment fixBatchV1_2 with a default validator vote of “Yes.”

Official notes still stress there has been no Mainnet impact and no loss of funds. The unusual detail Monday’s coverage underscores: source code for the security-sensitive fixes has not been published yet and will ship later with a retrospective — so full technical severity is not public.

Oct. 9 still the enable target

fixBatchV1_2 has already gained supermajority validator support and is expected to enable Oct. 9, 2026 alongside Batch if support holds.
